Hi,
I was discussing with my hubby what could we do for this weekend, and it turned out this weekend is Mother’s day. So I thought to give you a suggestion on what to do to make your Mum feel special. My Mum is thousand kilometers away (literally) but this easy Mother’s day brunch is something I would make for her. To be honest I was more thinking of men & kids doing this for their spouses or partners, so women can sleep in. So I opted for simple and easy recipes that everyone can make.
Easy Mother’s day brunch Menu
This Menu consists of two dishes and coffee and juice. It would be preferred if you could find so much time to squeeze out the orange juice from fresh oranges, but if there’s no time for that (or tasty oranges) then you can use the store bought variety. Just make sure it’s 100% orange juice.
- Sunny sandwiches
- Muesli Parfait
- Fresh Orange Juice
- Coffee
Table settings and decor
The decoration is easy peasy. Simply choose a flower and float it in a glass. There is really no need to have a huge decoration but if you really want you can make it. However huge bouquets are really not a thing for brunch or breakfast. Better use simply on flower or if you really much use a bunch of flowers, then choose either wild flower bouquet or bunch of flowers of same type (like tulips).
Table setting is easy as well. Add plates to the table. Set me main plate with food somewhere were there is space for it. Then set the glasses with juice and cups with coffee to the right of the plate. Put the napkin on the plate and put the fork on the napkin. This is an informal/casual setting so no need to bother with the correct setting of tableware. Then call your mum for her easy Mother’s day brunch.
